Park of the Nations
On the occasion of the Universal Exposition of 1998, in the new Lisbon was created this leisure place that is accessed by the great station of Oriente and the Vasco da Gama Bridge. It has restaurants, bars, shows, gardens, pedestrian zones and a large shopping center.
It is worth mentioning the modern Oriente Station, the Spanish Santiago Calatrava, whose roof is a tree structure of glass and steel with great luminosity. In this complex you will find a railway station, a metro station and a bus terminal.
What to see in the Park of Nations
In the Park of Nations is the second largest aquarium in Europe, called Oceanário de Lisboa; The Basque de Gama Tower, an excellent viewpoint and the Basque de Gama Bridge, which is almost 18 kilometers long, is the longest in Europe.
Another interesting visit is the Water Gardens, which have some interactive inventions.
